Terms, Conditions and Disclaimers
This section lists terms, conditions, and disclaimers that help clarify Alpha Suds services and work scopes further. These terms, conditions, and disclaimers support my policy of being transparent, and are meant to promote a better understanding with my customers. Prior to booking with Alpha Suds, you should read and agree to the terms, conditions and disclaimers associated with bookings. Once an appointment has been made, you are bound under the terms, conditions, and disclaimers herein.
INTERIOR DETAILS / CLEANING
Customers are requested to clear personal items from their vehicle before appointments. Alpha Suds will not be held responsible for any lost items. There may be an extra charge of up to £20 to remove and repack owner items left in any obvious or not so obvious locations about the vehicle.
Child car seats should be removed prior to the appointment, if you wish the seat under the child seat to be cleaned. It is the responsibility of the customer to refit any child seats post completion of my work. I will not be able to refit child seats under any circumstances.
EXTERIOR DETAILING / CLEANING
Alpha Suds is not a paint repair, touch up, or body shop, and will not be responsible for fixing any existing paint imperfections, trim, panel, wheel or tyre damage that becomes apparent during cleaning or after. I can however refer customers to qualified paint repair, auto body shops and tyre retailers if required.
ENGINE BAY CLEANING
Alpha Suds takes great care to cover required electrical components prior to commencement of engine bay cleaning, therefore is not liable or responsible for malfunction or breakage of any of the vehicle’s mechanical/ electrical/electronic components. I do not apply practices to vehicles more than the minimum required amount to ensure I perform my job correctly.
PRE EXISITING CONDITIONS
On check-in I ask my customers to identify and point out any components or parts that were already broken or in a condition about to fail before the detailing appointment. Then extra care will be taken during the cleaning process in these areas. If I find defective materials or loose-fitting parts while cleaning, I may not be able to clean them properly and will advise the customer. I will not be held responsible for any damage to your vehicle arising from ill-fitting trim, loose or faulty parts. In addition I cannot be held liable for any damage that may occur to any electrical components i.e. sensors, switches, screens, connections and other circuits that are worn, or may have previously been damaged by moisture, water ingress or previous valet companies.
CAR BATTERY CONDITION
Alpha Suds will not be responsible to replace weak or dead batteries. I avoid using any electrical devices on cars that may drain the battery, but leaving doors open during the cleaning process could drain the battery if it is in a weak state. Customers need to ensure their battery is in proper working condition prior to booking an appointment.
CANCELLATIONS OR NO SHOWS
I require 24 hours notice to cancel any booking. Failure to provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation will result in a minimum charge of 25% of the service cost. Same day appointments that are cancelled will incur a charge of 50% of the service cost. Alpha Suds reserve the right to request full payment if a booking is cancelled on the day without prior agreement. Alpha Suds reserve the right to alter or move a booking in accordance with changes to forecasted weather conditions or equipment failure without penalty to the company. In such circumstances there will be the option to bring your vehicle to a local fully equipped indoor facility.
CHARGES AND PRICING
All service pricing listed is based on vehicles in reasonable condition, and are advertised as a FROM price. I reserve the right to determine whether the vehicle is in reasonable condition based on my visual on-site inspection. Condition and any additional charges will be agreed upon before any work is performed. Additional services may be recommended and are available upon request. HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
Alpha Suds DO NOT undertake any tasks that involves the removal of urine, vomit, blood, faeces, or other hazardous substances.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Please be aware, I may require the use of toilet facilities, electricity and water in order to complete any required services. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
